Camp NaNoWriMo comes to an end the first day of May and I can say that I have done good with writing this month. However, I have almost 40,000 words across 6 different drafts. It would seem that I can’t seem to nail the setting of the fantasy and adventure story that I am working on.
This is mainly because of doubt. Last night, before bed, I had a thought: I am unsure where I want to go with my setting and characters because I am afraid that it’s not “perfect” . Everything needs to be “perfect” in order to attract my readers. So I spent another racking my brain on which draft I think is the best and while I still have my doubts, I plan on sticking to one draft and forcing myself to work through it. All my best ideas come while I am writing so who knows, maybe this will be it.
