July 2019 and Climate Change

I wish world leaders would step up and do something about the biggest incoming crisis facing our planet: climate change. According to Rolling Stone, July 2019 was the hottest month in recorded history and while we have billionaires like Jeff Bezos flying off to space because “we are destroying our planet” the rest of us down here will have to deal with the consequences.

Constantly, politicians tell us there is nothing wrong, but can no one step outside and feel the heat themselves? Extreme weather will continue to hit parts of the world and will continually become more and more violent as the earth heats.

As a millennial, I feel that the world we’ve inherited will slowly but surely do us in and I feel powerless in the wake of recent news. But hopefully, I’ve helped someone here understand the dangers to come and help join the cause to further educate others.

  1. Britain reached a new hottest day of the year record this year! It’s definitely more extreme these days, rather than just being all hot though it’s like the weather swings from cold to hot without a gradual increase or decrease anymore. Last year our April was snowing hard and this year it was a pretty warm winter. Just so weird. I like your illustration 😀
